Why the pricing is this sharp

Both federal rebates step down on 1 January 2027. That is legislated, and on these systems it is worth roughly $1,500 to $2,000 that simply will not be there in January.

We have also just put on another install crew. Spring is when our calendar starts filling ahead of summer, and by summer we are usually booked out. So rather than wait for the rush, we have opened a limited number of early bird spots each month at the sharpest pricing we have ever offered.

These are opening prices. As each month books out, pricing steps back up toward our standard rates, which are still competitive but nothing like this. The early birds get the best of it. That is the whole idea.

Included with every install, at no charge

Over $2,860 of inclusions, at no charge, on every system on this page.

These are things other installers commonly quote as extras. We include them, and we show you what they are worth so you can compare quotes properly.

Why nobody else advertises 20kW

Most installers still quote 13.3kW out of habit. With a battery in the system those old panel limits no longer apply, so we size the array to what the inverter can actually take. Extra solar is the cheapest part of the job, and it keeps the battery full on your low production days, through winter and in overcast and rainy weather, and on the hot afternoons when the aircon is flat out.

Already have solar? Keep your panels, add a battery.

We replace your old inverter with a new GoodWe hybrid, wire your existing panels straight into it, and add serious storage with whole home backup and blackout protection†. Your old inverter is decommissioned and recycled properly.

One thing to check before you get excited: the federal battery rebate can only ever be claimed once per property. If a battery rebate has already been claimed at your address, it no longer applies. We check that for you and tell you plainly before anything goes ahead.

Three ways we take the risk off you

The assessment is free

We look at your roof, your switchboard and your usage, and tell you what your home actually needs. If that turns out not to be us, you have lost nothing but ten minutes.

Your price is confirmed in writing

Before you commit to anything, you get the price, the system and the inclusions in writing. What is on this page is what you pay for a standard install, and anything your home needs beyond that is quoted in writing first, never sprung on you on install day.

The 21 day install commitment

Once your network approval is back, and your finance if you are financing, we install within 21 days. If we miss it, your first annual system health check is on us. That is exactly why we cap how many installs we take each month. We would rather turn work away than leave you waiting until next year for a system you have already paid a deposit on.

Who is actually turning up at your house

Sunshine Coast Solar and Electrical has been on the Coast since 2014. Your system is designed by a licensed electrician and installed by our own in-house crew, the same faces from quote to commissioning, and it is backed by a 25 year workmanship warranty rather than the 5 or 10 years most installers offer.

The questions we get asked most

Why is this so much cheaper than my other quotes?

Three reasons, and none of them are the equipment. We are filling our calendar before the rebates change, we buy in volume for these promo systems, and we do not pay commissions to a call centre or a lead broker on these jobs. Same GoodWe, same Jinko, same in-house crew, same 25 year warranty as our full price work.

Is the price going to climb once you are at my house?

Not if your home is a standard install. If it needs a tile roof kit, a two storey lift, tilt frames or a long cable run, those are published rates and they are quoted in writing before you commit. Nothing gets added on install day.

What if my roof or my switchboard is not suitable?

Then we tell you at the assessment, before you have paid anything. We would rather lose a sale than put a system somewhere it should not go.

What if a battery rebate has already been claimed at my address?

The federal battery rebate can only ever be claimed once per property. We check that for you before anything is agreed, and if it has been claimed we reprice the job and tell you plainly rather than letting you find out later.

Do I have to pay for it all upfront?

No. You can pay outright, or we can refer you to Parker Lane for their green loan, which has no deposit. We are not financial advisers and we receive nothing for the referral, so it makes no difference to us which one you choose.

Swap your power bill for a system you own*

The estimated repayments above are Parker Lane's own published figures for their green loan over 120 months, from 6.99% p.a. variable (comparison rate 8.24%), and their estimates include their setup and ongoing fees. There is no deposit when you finance through a Parker Lane referral, there are no early repayment fees, and extra payments are free. We are not financial advisers and this is not financial advice or a loan offer. We refer only, and receive no benefit from the introduction.
